You seem to forget that ul loses their most intelligent, hardest working, and without a doubt, the best floor coach that they have had in years, David Padgett. Without him, ul would have certainly had a much poorer season. I don't think that they have anyone in the wings to replace his leadership. If Pitino can get some of these guys to mature mentally, then they may be fine. But based on past history for these guys, I'm not too sure that will happen. Good luck.

No way in hell I can forget the contributions of Padgett! I have referred to him in previous entries. That guy was the heart and soul of last years team.

I think catsman just realizes that the cards are gonna be hard for the putty tats to handle for quit a few years to come. Looks to me like billy g is in way over his head.

We will wait and see. Personally, I love the job he's doing so far, especially considering the talent he inherited and the injuries they had. Without Padgett returning from his injury, ul would have really struggled last year, so obviously losing talented players to injury does have effects. For those ul fans that are that "concerned" about UK's progress, I don't blame you... they will be back very soon to their perch at the top, where they've been for DECADES. Good luck. GO CATS!!!

UK has some serious issues to address. With Patterson, the center position seems to be ok, but what about shooting? Instead of recruiting 8th graders they should work on 2008...
U of L will be fine.

UL will be thin in the front court, i dont think its fair to rely on two freshmen to carry so much weight, responsibilty and lofty expectations especially playing in the Big East. Im sure they will do well but im also sure that one of them will hit the freshman wall next season.
If sosa doesnt improve his maturity level UL wont make another run at the sweet 16 much less final 4. even with stellar play from T-will and E-5 Sosa and a thin frontline could be UL's downfall

uofl will be so tough in b-ball i cant wait till the season starts i was at the derby clsssic jennnings is tough but samuels is the real deal check out our season the ville will win big this year we will be back to final four oh uofk you wiil get killed in the hall

I agree. This could be the year we finally make it back to the Final Four. North Carolina will be tough, but I ike our chances.
