OUR HOUSE!
Boo hoo! You emerged victorious. Be happy. Celebrate. Move on. Don't dwell on Kentucky. They're a lowly unranked team, who plays in a horrible conference... remember? So this victory does nothing to inflate your RPI, much less dent the Big East playing field.
If we're going to discuss elitism, I'd be happy to address the Cardinal inferiority complex. Since Wildcat success is so unearned, then why do you even validate our cheers and jeers with argument? Belittle our achievements as much as you wish, but I'm willing to bet that if Louisville had 7 championships, was number one in wins, and held a slew of other Kentucky records, you guys wouldn't shut up about it. What is a string of wins and/or championships, for that matter, if nothing more than amnutition to brag? I hear enough trash spewed about your two titles and eight-year run as it is.
Newsflash! The elite programs are ELITE because they're success has been spread over a sixty-year period of time. That's how it works in every sport, college or pro. Carey Wood had a really good rookie season. Is he the greatest pitcher ever? Even a diehard Cubs fan wouldn't make that claim. The conversation would be dominated by the likes of Cy Young, Nolan Ryan, Walter Johnson, Steve Cartlon, and similar athletes who were able to ammass exceptional pitching records over lengthy periods of time.
UNC, Duke, and Kansas didn't build their respected Romes in a day. Hell, UNC started playing in 1910 and won their first championship in the 57'. That was a fairly long time ago. So, what's your point? The historical depreciation rhetoric is attuned to that of children who try the call "The Dark Knight" and "Lord of the Rings" the greatest films ever. Florida has compiled the most championships of any team in the last five years, yet failed to make the tournament in the previous. But by your standards they're the best program in college basketball.
Congrats!!! You won the annual rivalry game, on a relatively uncontested prayer, by a guard whom your coach has made attempts to run off, against an unranked team. Do you pound chest and pump fist every time you take a shit or step on a bug? The three Louisville losses have also come at the hands of UNRANKED TEAMS. The Cards have yet to win against, let alone play, a ranked team. If this victory carries enough gravity to make you cream your pants... beware of the KO punch from teams like ND, Pitt, and UConn.
I'll tell you what. Win, like, two more championships and pull somewhere within the top 10 on the overall victories list, and then we can MAYBE, embark on an adult discussion. Until then, all I'm hearing is furious chatter from a jealous person.
Anthony...stop crying. You guys can't beat lil bro in what was supposed to be your elite sport. Now you are sucking hind tit and you know it. Go play in your lil liberty bowl against the sorry C-USA. Wow...an SEC school in a bowl against a C-USA team. Now go schedule VMI ...I mean Gardner Webb.....no...I mean San Diego st....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hell...Go beat lil Indiana.
Louisville and UK first meeting was 1913 or 1917 something like that. Either way we lead the series by almost double between you, we have the most NCAA wins, we have the most tournament wins and we're 2nd on the most championships list... so until your resume beefs up a little bit cards, stfu nerds.
Dude, are you stoned? Weren't you the same dude that penned that circle jerk post about UL?

Dude, gnarly, hang-ten, radical! Maybe I'm drunk too... because, I seem to remember a certain Chris Lambert participating in the aforementioned discussion. So, what does that make you? By the way, I've yet to hear an override of the jealous chatter by anything constructive... so keep penning those oh-so witty comments.

Oh Yeah, we're SO furiously jealous of your program's illustrious history! There's been no attempt to override your so called "jealous" chatter because, as badly as you want it to, the jealousy simply does not exist.
No, ass-gobblin I only pointed out what IT was....a kitty circlejerk...
