As some of you might have heard, an anonymous blogger at LEO wrote something about a story coming out regarding violations committed by John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins. As is the case with absurd rumors that seem to pop up this time of the year (usually regarding recruiting), we generally try to ignore them.

First of all, it is completely and utterly untrue. The allegations have absolutely no validity or even a shred of truth to them. Kentucky fans have nothing to worry about.

Second, matt jones spent a good portion of his day calling around to national media writers and not one says they’ve heard any inkling of a possible national story regarding violations. No one he spoke with had heard anything about any allegations or any stories being written.

So, that’s it. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. This, of course, proves the age-old internet proverb to be true. Don’t trust anything written by Bryan the Intern or anyone with an alias. Even if they do write for a supposedly legitimate publication.

And speaking of supposed legitimacy, don’t forget to check out “One Blogging Moment” on CBSSports.com. It’s better than the LEO.

And our source for this is... wait for it... LEO WEEKLY. You might as well have cited Mad Magazine, or the National Enquirer. I'm well acquainted with several of the magazine's staff writers. They are fine people, but tend to let blind emotion override popular fact and basic sensibility.

In related fake news: There's a sauced-up Schitzo who wanders aimlessly around Saint Matthews, donning a tin foil hat, that holds cryptic conversations with an invisible Salvador Dali. Last week while chain-smoking in front of CVS, he took the time to scrawl a message on some half-used toilet paper, employing his own feces, that accuses Rick Pitino of illegitimately fathering Edgar Sosa, Francisco Garcia, Juan Palacios and Will Scott. Although not familar with any of this insane gentleman's credentials or contacts, I'm more inclined to entertain the misguided rantings of a complete lunatic than articles written by Seedy K aka CD Kaplan.

Pitino's transgressions are of no concern to the NCAA. Also, he is not on trial. Get over it, he got drunk and got a piece of ASS. This Calipari thing is not a rumor. It's for real. Your athletic director is an idiot. Bury your head in the sand. Unbelievable.

It's not like you to jump on something like this and start saying "it's for real".

I expect it from the hairy raisin sack that started this thread, but not from you.

Calipari walks the line. There is no doubt about it. Sandy Bell does not.

So here is the article from The Leo, after revision on 3/8. Not the reference to it. Even Seedy's "facts" are nothing more than opinions.

BTW...I have "Sources" that say Grad/Flamer was in DC getting a marriage license yesterday.

There are now two sources, one a member of the national media, who indicate there is a race to reveal some NCAA transgressions by UK frosh stars, John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins.

I am told, though I have no personal knowledge nor evidence myself whatsoever, that the investigations concern cash money and, perhaps, real estate.

There are two nationally known media sources who are, according to sources, scurrying to obtain the last bit of evidence that will allow them to publish the story. One, I’m advised, is the New York Times. The other, one of the major online sports sites.

As per usual, neither of my sources mentioned UK coach John Calipari by name. Only the players were named.

This is all I have at this time. Frankly, it’s not much. But, the facts are these. 1) John Calipari has a track record that would not rule out such a situation. 2) These two players, by their actions, indicated they would have played for Calipari at North Dakota A & M, if that’s where he was coaching. 3) None of the Tobacco Road schools surprisingly gave a serious look at Wall, though he was a local kid.

It will be interesting to see if anything comes of this. Or, if it’s just idle gossip. Stay tuned.
