that was a very good guess WS and I would have to agree with you, I do see UL being a very good middle of the pack big East team which would probably put them in the top 25 at around 22 to 25 at best, but I do wish both schools the best, of Course I will be fully supporting my wildcats and the other SEC teams lol

Kentucky is sure to have a breakthrough season. Every sports reporter is calling for UK to return to elite status this year. I fully expect the Wildcats to win the SEC regular season and the conference championship, and make a deep run in March. Apparently the freshman and meshing with the returning players very well and Patterson is really stepping up as the leader.

Sure to be a interesting season!

I see UL being a very good team next year, even with the loss of Earl and Williams. This team will be a deadly shooting team and that's exactly what kind of team Pitino wins with. With Jennings and Samuels in the lineup our inside game will be huge also. Add that to the fact that we have guards who can make you pay with their shooting. Swopshire was only a Freshmen last year and did some good things and I think he learned alot and will surprise alot of people next year. We have a shot to defend our Big East title and I think this team will be very fun to watch this year. UL will be a top 15 team heading into March and have a chance to get to the Final Four because of all the proven experience they have coming back.

As far as UK goes I don't know much about that team I haven't seen any of them play except for Patterson and he was a decent player the last few years; however I don't think he has ever played in the NCAA tournament. I"ll reserve predictions about this team until the season starts and we can see how things are looking!!!

hey shamcock your not impressed with UL's recruits of course your not your a UK dumbass. Peyton Siva, Mike Marra, Rakeem Buckles, and Stephen Van Treese will show you and your fan base what to fear. Jennings was a freshman, swopshire was a freshman, samuels was a freshman. They improve and will hand your MILDCATS a loss in currupt arena. They might not start a great team as the year progresses they will get better and better and better. JUST REMEMBER THIS SOSA FOR 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is awful early for predictions, but i will give you what i think as of today. First Louisville will have a young but talented frontcourt, and a senior backcourt , although i am not big on Sosa at all ( cant shoot)! i think it is possible for Louisville to get to the sweet 16 , but hoping for much more! UK has Patterson who is solid along with one of the best recruiting classes i have ever seen so i will go out on a limb and predict early losses to veteren teams ,but a strong run down the stretch to the final 4.

Don't get me wrong, Louisville won't be horrible next year. However, that socalled deadly shooting team hurled up a lot of desperate bricks in last season's loss to WKU. Any team that lives by the three is also potentially doomed to die by that same shot. Jennings should do well, but I've yet to be impressed with Samuels. Although he seems dominant at times, Samardo gets easily intimidated in certain situations. Padgett was eternally hungry. Samuels needs to activate the thunder, and disable the off switch.

Second round exit for Louisville, Elite Eight for Kentucky.

Yes we lost 2 lottery picks, and?! UL will have some growing pains, make no mistake about it. However, that does not mean that they will not be Must- See TV. U of L has a mix of returning, experienced players and new, ready to hit the court recruits. To those that think that all U of L fans are putting all their stock in Sosa, think again. SOSA is not the whole team, but he is one helluva asset, who will get a lot of pt this year. He knows Coach P's playing style, played inthe NCAA tourney, good for that three anyday, beautiful onthe outside. Smith's game is lovely!! He is not afraid of anybody and it shows on the court. Also good on the outside.Smith will balance Sosa out, in their postion as co-captains of the team. Swopshire and Samuels are goung to have break-out years, in my eyes. Knowles game will get even better and jENNINGS WILL ALSO, just my opinon.Marra, Buckles, and Siva will fill in the gaps.

I am not saying UK will not have a good year. In fact, I think this year for the Wildcats will be a decent one. However, if we are goingto be realistic then let's. Now, you have lost Meeks, and I think he should have stayed. You are looking at some one and dones as well, such as Cousins and Wall. Who knows, as the season gets underway, if they are going to be more focused on trying to play with their team or if their focus will be in who may be watching them? Half of this team is recruits, and everybody, including the returning, has to learn a new playing style. Let's not act as if there will not be growing pains. So in my eyes, you cannot say honestly that Uk is going to skyrocket into the final four. Right now, the final four is anybody's game, because everybody from team to team has lost some key players.

well thought out is the way this board should be there are way too many personal attacks and yes at one point I was guilty of that, now I will only comment on our schools, I don't need to resort to cheap insults. Keep up the great post even though I won't alway agree with your point of view lol after all I AM A KATS FAN!!!

Preacher Man, I only respond to people the way that they portray themselves on this board. If Jason keeps talking trash, then I will respond with trash. I have responded to some of your posts in the past, and enjoy reading them. You give honest opinions without hurling insults, and I appreciate that. Just because I don't respond to you, doesn't mean I didn't read it. So keep typing those insightful posts, and if you want to be fair, go after some of your "classy" cardinal fans who continue to spew their venom.
