My grandma could throw up 25 footers until one of them finally goes in, Jason. Is she skilled? Do you ever post anything that carries any merit? I hope everyone sees that this post was started by a UofL fan, and was responded to by two cat fans and one cardinal fan in a very classy, intelligent way, and then this clown had to come in and start the trash talk. I wish we could get through one thread without people like Jason Miller ruining them.
Hey shawn news flash u can say what u want about UL nothing will change the scoreboard from jan 4th. Sosa hit the shot that's facts for ya. I didn't start trash talking u did by " siva will move Sosa to the bench quickly." so check ur posts before u say I started the trash talk. Sosa is a senior and captain why in the world would he be riding the bench?
To me, it seems like Sosa is always trying to prove something. Then, if he manages to make a play that's even the slightest bit postive, Edgar hoops and hollers as if having just won the National Championship. Sometimes, for a game or two after that, he plays timid or practically disappears. Trying to maintain a more low-key Pete Sampras-type persona would benefit the kid. It also doesn't help that Pitino picks on "Little Eddie" a lot when speaking to the media. While I realize that this is a motivational tactic, some players don't have a tough enough exterior to handle even minimal public verbal abuse from their coach.
Although the shot that ended the UL/UK basketball contest last season was dramatic, it didn't garner the "this is our house" standing on tables, jersey-logo lifting celebration(primarily from Sosa)that followed. He could have just smiled, pumped his fist, hugged a teammate, and proceeded to have a congenial conversation with the assembled floor reporters, before leaving the court to celebrate privately in the locker room with fellow players. The best act like they've been there before, go through the motions with stellar prowess, and maybe lose composure after clinching a championship. Little Eddie seems much too easily aroused by hints of success, and should make an attempt to quiet down while allowing his game to do the hollering.
So now we are telling players how to react to their win on the basketball court? You have got to be kidding me. He needs to maintain a low-profile, when did you become his publicist or his judge and jury? I wouldnt care if he sd "this is our house" at every home game, as long as he wasn't out of line; wouldnt care if he had it put on a t-shirt(lol). U act as if he took a Uk Jersey, and stomped on it, and then looked at the camera and said "this is our house, get them out of here! I'll reiterate the point to which I was eluding. HE SHOULD ACT LIKE HE'S BEEN THERE BEFORE, and good things will follow. Other than one exciting, but meaningless shot, what has he REALLY done for you? Did he beat A&M on a last second three in the sweet 16? NO. Did he lead Louisville past Michigan State to the final four last year? NO. He celebrated like a circus clown in the victory over Arizona, and that got him what... bounced the next round?
Are you his publicist, Letheica? Did I offend your client? He's not my player, so really I don't care how Little Eddie continues to conduct his business. Your the fan who has an underachieving headcase for a point guard. So, let him continue to bounce off the arena walls every once in a while after making a momentarily crucial play. Sosa can dance across the floor like a Kangaroo, pausing only to model for cameras, and Louisville can continue to drift further away from having any connection with 1986.
