REDNBLUEFANS

I posted this a couple of days ago. No one seemed to notice. I am reposting again. This just in. Major recruiting violations charged against Memphis basketball. Final 4 will be vacated. So far, John Calipari has been to 2 final 4's. They will both be vacated. Your illustrious AD, Mitch Barnhart supposedly knew about the infractions when he hired Calipari.
My Post from a couple of days ago:
This recruiting class will be judged by what it accomplishes over the long haul. Granted, Kentucky has some stellar talent coming in. But how many freshmen lead their schools to national championships. Carmelo Anthony is the only one that comes to mind recently. Certainly not the Fab 5. Freshmen make mistakes. As I recall, Chris Webber, the "Crown Jewel" of the Fab 5, as a sophomore, cost Michigan the game against North Carolina (1993) by calling a timeout that the team did not have. As freshmen, they lost to Duke in the Final game. Then they got caught up in an over-the-top scandal that caused the NCAA to wipe them from the record books, Michigan to pull down their Final Four banners, Webber to face federal perjury charges and the team to never enjoy the traditional reunions and jersey retirements of great teams.
The Fab 5's most enduring legacy in the game of basketball was their fashion and swagger. All hat and no cattle.
So you have a bunch of superstars for one year. Why? All of a sudden these guys commit to Kentucky, over the limit on scholarships, to play one year. Why? Fab 5. Why? $$$$
Your giddiness is amusing to me. It reminds me of John Calipari's "dribble drive" offense. Dribble Drive? Sounds like premature ejaculation to me!!!

He certainly is classless. Sort of like a guy who cheats on his wife, orders his lovechild to be aborted, and then tattles to the FBI when his dirty little secret is about to be exposed.

Pitino just issued a statement, as well....................

"If a tree falls in the woods, and no one is around, does it make a sound? I did not cheat on my wife... until I actually got caught. And, I am not leaving to coach the Kings... until I actually do."

He should run for the Illinois governor seat.

Mitch Barnhardt just made this statement and sent it to press,..................

"We at Kentucky sought out the best possible coach for our men's basketball team in order to carry on the great tradition we have enjoyed here at UK. As you know we have always been associated with cheating, scandals, and blatant racism and we 100% expect this to continue for our basketball team under the guidance of John Calipari. We couldn't ask for a coach more suited to this task. Thank you, John, for all you have brought and will bring very soon to our great university,......"

Shammy stated this:
First and foremost, there are no NCAA allegations against UK Head Men’s Basketball Coach John Calipari. Coach Calipari was forthcoming with the University of Kentucky during the hiring process about any issues under investigation at the University of Memphis at that time.
Shammy said:

Coach John Calipari has received a letter from the NCAA stating that he is not at risk of being charged with any NCAA violations in this case.

This is a University of Memphis issue and the University of Kentucky will not comment any further.

Are you kidding me??????

This is the same thing that Memphis fans have been saying for the past 9 years about Calamari when he was at U Mass. U Mass got probation as will Memphis. Coaches rarely get punished...it is always the University. Ole Calamari just can't help it....he recruits shady palyers.

Actually Mitch is correct about Thugtucky's great tradition...

...of continually being placed on NCAA probation.

I wonder where John Wall will be working off his 75 hours of community service in Lexington...

...probably on the basketball court.

Louisville......You guys are so jealous of UK it's crazy...For one Louisville is a fake ass school. Ya'll just got in a conference.......You will always be in the shadow of UK fool. No matter who coaches ya'll. We uk got more titles than ya'll and we got more wins than ya'll. Look at it like this The greatest teams ever are North Carolina, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA, and maybe Indiana. Now where is UofL in the group. Ya'll got Pinto our old coach....See that's just like Louisville always trying to be something they are not. Without Pinto ya'll are nothing. See a coach don't us. Even if Billy G or Tubby would have stayed we would be ok. Ya'll are nothing without Pinto and you say he is the savior of the program. See thats like a brother having sex with his brother's wife....just ain't right.....Uof L get your own glory and stop hating UK cause ya'll are UofL. Get a football team......ya'll lose to UCONN and other pitiful teams. We are weak as well but hell we play in the SEC.....And finally get something else to talk about besides UK......cause we don't care about ya'll.........HATERS

The jealously is truly overwhelming them - the only place they can turn is creating claims where there are none! I'm not sure if any of you have read into the story more than just the headlines, but do yourselves a favor and read an article. You will (or should) clearly see that everything you are saying is totally and completly incorrect. Sorry, you're wrong. There is no point in debating it or arguing it, and the fact you keep rehashing these insane ideas, once again, further displays your ignorance for college basketball and the Kentucky program.

Unlike the pitino story this is cut and dry. The women's golf team at Memphis is in big trouble though.

LOL...i like how you idiots jump to "paying players" and all that stuff. Show me in the report a recruit being paid. Show me John Calipari's name being mentioned? Nothing will come of this. Nothing. And you guys are really gonna throw insults when your Coach is a cheating adulterous scumbag??? WOW! Where are your morals? You still have respect for Coach Pitino? HOw much respect would you have for your wife if she went out and got knocked up by another guy? Recruiting violations, SAT scores, Blah, Blah, Blah. This man has no character, no morals. Cheated on his wife and family. Proven. Time and time again with not just this woman but others.

Great post, Shamrock. You hit the nail on the head with this entire post. Let the cardinal fans throw stones, even though you and Larry both killed any argument they had with FACTS. Why is it always the KY fans that end arguments with FACTS, and the uavel idiots just keep slinging their ignorant opinions? You guys have numerous NCAA infractions in the last 2 decades, a head coach who's caught up in a federal extortion case, and you're worrying about NCAA violations at Memphis. Unbelievable.....

Here are some facts for you. John Calipari has been to 2 final fours. The first, at UMASS was vacated. Of course John scurried off to the Nets. The second at Memphis in all likelihood will be vacated. Once again, Calipari is off to Kentucky and so far has not been implicated in any of the allegations. Coaches surround themselves with their designated minions to do their dirty work, thus isolating themselves from these misdeeds. But the universities always pay the price when the coaches just go somewhere else, unscathed, to repeat the process all over again. Obviously, Calipari fits that mold. One other point for you to chew on. When Kentucky got into all of the trouble with the NCAA During Eddie Sutton's tenure with the school, Eddie was not implicated in any of the violations. How did that work out for you? It really doesn't matter whether the coach is personally proven to be guilty of violations. The school still pays. UMASS paid. Memphis is going to pay. If you cannot see or understand that Calipari has a rather dubious track record, you have your head in the sand.
