Let's Give Kragthorpe One More Year
Okay Everyone, as a U of L alumnus I have endured some tough times. I remember Louisville scheduling EKU for their homecoming game and LOSING for Christsakes. I remember getting a free U of L ticket with a fill up at Thorntons. Then we won the Fiests Bowl. Hallelujah!! Then the Liberty Bowl. Then we fell on hard times after Howard left. I endured the Ron Cooper era. Then we got lucky and "leased" John L. Smith for a few very good years. Then we got real lucky and were able to lease Petrino for a few very prosperous years. Let's face it. I was spoiled. I live in Texas which is football country and I have had bragging rights for 7 years straight. I relished it. I have memories of the bad times and I don't want to go back to them. I don't know how much of what has happened was out of Kragthorpe's hands. I know we lost a ton of players and were very young and inexperienced. All I know is that Kragthorpe had better produce next year. I hate the idea of losing ground to USF and UConn. Programs in their D1 infancy. The loss to Rutgers was inexcusable.

and can't believe how well things have turned out for this team that's definitely on a (joke)"collision course with the national title"....just can't understand what happen to the enthusiasm after all this initial excitement?...can anyone explain?
i mean they DID beat murray state didn't they?...

I will give him another year. Heck in 3 or 4 years he will have a winning record against eukey. Hey iF Ron Cooper can beat em more than he lost...anyone can. It's just UK.

I agree...and reading the comments from the Ky fans, go ahead and gloat now, its about time Ky FINALLY got a football team, but us Cards, we SHALL RETURN again!! Only to kick ur ass just one more time!!! lol

In this era of economic crisis, I have found myself involved in a common sense crisis when it comes to UL. It's inconsistent for a institution of higher learning to fail to realize the lessons it has learned in the wake of Kragthorpe. Almost like the lessons of Cooper.
Therefore, until times get better, I will only watch UL when they are broadcast on TV.The ticket price offends me when I consider the product the school offers. I would not accept a burger from Wendy's that wasn't cooked. I wouldn't accept a car missing one front wheel and one back wheel. I wouldn't let a doctor close surgery with a staple gun. I cannot accept the football program until they correct the problems they are ignoring: inept coaching, poor recruiting, and substandard results.
I will say that Auburn has created a new low, hiring a coach with a 5-19 record, including 2-10 this season with a 10 game losing streak. Coach K is Next To Last....
