There is a big difference here. Tubby took over an UK powerhouse and in his first year won the NCAA. After that, he had all winning seasons. He had a better won-lost % than Rick Pitino. SK took over a #7 in the nation team and had 7 NFL players on the team with an All-American quarterback and came in last place in the Big East (weak conference). Then the following year, had another losing season. And another last place team in the conference. All SK has done is bad mouth players and coaches that were part of Petrino's regimen. Here is his 2009 recruiting -- tied at 79th with Louisiana Tech. That is why the fans are upset.

If we want a coach fired then we're just plain crazy, but when UL fans want a coach fired it's because they care so much about their program. Brandon, I'm not sure you realize what Ky basketball is all about. We don't keep coaches because they "have all winning seasons." That's ridiculous and you know it. There is an expectation level at UK that compares to North Carolina, Duke, UCLA, Kansas, and IU. Fans of these programs aren't just happy with a winning season. If Pitino went 16-14 for 5 straight years, you guys would be ready to put his head on a silver platter, even though those were all winning seasons. I'm not trying to bash you, so I'll put this into terms that shouldn't offend any UL fans. Comparing UK basketball to UL football is like comparing Alabama basketball to UL basketball. There is no comparison.
