REDNBLUEFANS

Further evidence that UL fans have vastly outgrown the uk fan base over the past decade are in the numbers of people in attendence at the Taylor Swift and Journey concerts at the Kentucky State Fair. 3 to 1 UL attire was seen there. Some uk fans will 'cry foul' claiming this is not the general music enjoyed by pusscat fans. Sorry pusscats, but Speck Rhodes, Minnie Pearl and Grandpa Jones are no longer with us and available on the 'comeback tour' list.

The past 6 games UL fans have predicted a Card win and uk fans have predicted a mildcat win. UL fans have been right 66% of the time. For you melungeon uk fans that can not decipher, that leaves 33% for you!!!!

You seen the uk fans at the fair at the hog shows, hog calling contests and the guys operating the rides at the Midway!! I am talking about the folks who attended the Big Events, like the Journay and Taylor Swift concerts. Even Taylor wore a #5 UL jersey during her performance. The guy selling corn dogs had a 'Struttin with Suttin' cap on....LOL

ShameRock, you want proof? Here is an example. UL averaged nearly 20,000 per game at Freedom Hall in about 18 games last year, basketball. uk has ONE game in Freedom Hall and 9,000 uk fans bought tickets. the UL Ladies sold 16,000 tickets to one of thier games and had over 10,000 in several others. I remember the day about 20 years ago uk sold out Freedom Hall for thier ONE game. Over the years ULs' fan base has been increasing ands uks' decreasing, in Jefferson County. UL has a very 'young' new fan base and its' fans are spreading to the surrounding counties of Oldham Bullitt, Spencer, and Hardin. Also, many fans in the S. Indiana areas.
Nearly All UL football and basketball games are shown on 'live' TV too, not like the 'delayed' broadcasts of uk. Lexington also changes the times of its' uk games when in conflict with Keeneland. Louisville has several events all the time going on and UL never changes its game times because of Churchill, the Bats, Derby or any other festvals or events.
Tell me why only 9,000 Jefferson County uk fans now go to the annual uk Freedom Hall game?

Journey was last RELEVANT in 1986. So, I guess Louisville fans can relate to them.

I haven't attended the state fair in five years. It's a waste of time and money.

And FYI, the average Taylor Swift fan is ten years old.

I'll give you one thing, though. Louisville probabaly has more supporters(loose term) in the city than they're given credit for. Problem is, after every loss(often times in the middle of games)Cardinal fans appear from sight in the blink of an eye. Oh the weather is fair, in old Louisville!

Like most uk fans, you are not much informed of your own team. I am not talking about a home attendence vs. a visitor attendence. Every year, uk plays one game in Louisvilles' Freedom Hall, hoping to please and sell tickets to the Louisville area uk fans. Last year and the past few years the 'local' Jefferson County uk fans have had thier chance to buy a ticket to see the pusscats. They sold 9,000 tickets. Your argument with me, if you have the ability to remember, is UL has MANY more fans in Jefferson county than uk. You asked me to show you proof. There is your proof. UL sells 20,000 tickets in Jefferson County for the Cards (18 times) uk sells 9,000 tickets to thier fans in Jefferson County, (one time) does this spell it out for you? Does anyone else have trouble understanding this or is Shamerock the only one with ATD?

well let's just wait to see what happens at the one game in Louisville this year I would be willing to bet it is a sellout, but let's talk about how many time UL sells out the joke of a football stadium of their lol, UK has more fans at the end of the game then UL has for the start of a game, let's not mention the average for the beginning of the 2nd half lol

UL sells 20,000 tickets 'No matter who' the opponent is. Are uk fans paying to see the opposition or the pusscats? uk only bought 9,000 last year, why would they buy more this year? still a Div. 2 opponent.

That 19,000 figure... INCLUDES SEASON TICKETS. If you want season tickets, you have to purchase them for every game. Games on nuetral sites aren't included in the season package, so it would make sense that the number sold for the ONE Kentucky contest against Appalachian St. is well below Louisville's 10 game average.

Plus, a sizable amount of regulars come to the Cardinal games primarily for the halftime cocktail party. There are LOTS of non-fans who show up just to see and be seen. I know a bunch of them. They wouldn't know Dejuan Wheat or Cliff Rozier from David Letterman. Yet they spiff up for the Freedom Hall debutante ball every week(one girl didn't even know who Denny Crum was, or why they were painting his name on the court).

That's the beauty of Rupp. There aren't any luxury boxes, and alcohol is prohibited. So, you know that the FANS who show up, are present only to appreciate a Wildcat basketball contest. Don't get me wrong. I'm not opposed to drinking and socializing. You can do that, however, at a bar or even house. Attending a college basketball game, on the other hand, should entail watching the actual game.

Also, bad example with the Lady Card reference. Tickets were eight bucks. You can sell a lot of vouchers to most anything when they are less than movie admission.

Here is a concept for you Why would I as a UL fan would I want to travel to Lexington to watch a game in Commonwealth stadium.I wouldn't go there if I had free tickets and if I knew UL was going to win by 30 points. There is a difference between a hostile environment and having fans just being plain rude, and ignorant and it should not be chalked up to it being a rivalry game either. And enough of the beer drinking comments, because you are full of s*it if you are going to say UK fans were not drinking beer at that Miami of Ohio game because video does'nt lie.
