You can't kick him off the team for THAT. What he did, while "unacceptable," doesn't merit removal from the team. Just use this as a warning for the whole team that you play by BILLY'S rules, not your own.

Why in the world would you "refuse" to enter the game?!?! This has got to be one of the dumbest things a player especially a freshman could do... I didn't stay up to watch this game, so did I miss something? What was the circumstance? Has Billy G had issues with this player already, either in the K-State game or previously this season?

My opinion on this has nothing to do with the fact this is a UK player I'd say the same thing if it were a UL player also... I do think something severe needs to be done with this, b/c if its not then basically its showing this player he's above the team and can do anything he wants with little to no repercussion.

In my opinion this is nothing but ignorance personified, And if Billy G wants to grasp control of his team he needs to make a statement with this and show the team who's' boss...

You can show the team "who's boss" without kicking him off the team. At some point a line needs to be drawn at what is acceptable and what is not, but this should not be anywhere near the line.

I dont agree with what Liggins did, but it has got to be disheartening to watch a player like Michael Porter, who is an Eastern Kentucky caliber player, getting all of the minutes at point guard. Gillispie already lost a potentially great player last year in Alex Legion because he was starting freakin Mark Coury while trying to prove some silly point. With the program in the shape it is in, now is not the time to be proving points. He needs to have his best players on the court. Liggins is not a good point guard right now, but the difference between him and Porter is he has the potential to be a great point guard, while Porter has reached his peak and will never get any better.
