REDNBLUEFANS

Just their refusal to answer an honest question speaks volumes to the truth here.

Loserville is a mid major basketball program.

I say this because it is clear they are not among the elite in college basketball.

Loserville had one 6 yr period of success. 1980-1986. Besides that what has that pathetic program done? lol my god in the past 23 yrs they have had only 1 final four. NO champonships and my god...only 1 conference title in 13 seasons. does that sound like an ELITE basketball program in your eyes?

so I ask the loserville fans to defend that pathetic wanna be program and tell me how it can be considered an elite program when you look at the facts I just mentioned?

while on the other hand..UK has been been to final fours and elite 8s every decade since the NCAA started the tourny. Uk stays ranked in the top 25 every season. UK wins its conference almost every season. UK has had a few down yrs the past couple but every program goes through that. EVERY program.

UK, DUKE, UNC, INDIANA, UCLA....we sit up on the porch among the elite in colleger basketball. while you loservuille SCUM sit down in the yard wishing you were part of the top programs hahaha.

such WANNA BES! of course you scum have a chance to prove me wrong right now by telling me how loserville is part of the elite. come on...tell us if you can lol

hahaha later WANNA BES lol wanna be SCUM hahahahaha

hey larry wilburn who was ranked in the most recent? UL NUMBER 1 team in america. they got beat by a better prepared team. The same team that beat your arses when UL went to the final 4.

here is a link for you look at every year since the director's cup started and you will see the average ranking is UK 40.5, UL average ranking is 100.5

. I mean if you want to say 3 time out of the last 10 years is UL being ranked the majority of the time, there is something wrong with your math skills lol

Check that out sparky that's last years rankings for all college teams in all sports. The reason Louisville never acknowledges your type is because the University of Louisville is currently, and for the last 10 years, better. I'm not certain the weights that the NCAA puts on sports is correct or not but according to the last 10 years the NCAA even says UL is a better Athletic Program.

Actually we're just ignoring the mindless, stereotypical idiot that is asking these questions. Try to improve your education and status in life first before running with the successful adults...

...and getting your GED doesn't qualify.

I don't blame you for ignoring him, Scabbie. If you actually tried to address his questions about your pathetic program, you'd have to admit he's right. No championships in almost a quarter century, one final four in that same time span, and only one conference title in thirteen years. So sad.....

OK. I will go ahead and speak on this even though its an absolute waste of time. Louisville Basketball has been a major basketball program since the moment Denny Crum took them over. Have they had the success of UCLA, UNC, and UK; few have. They ruled the 80s, they stunk in the 90s and over the last several years they have made huge steps to becoming a major player again. Under Pitino they have been to two elite eights and a final four.

Yes Kentucky has seven titles (four of them before the 60s) verses two for U of L, but U of L was a mid-major program until the 80s. UK has been a major player (and a major cheater) for the majority of it's history. They have 11 final fours (six coming before the 70s) to U of L's 8 (all but one during or after the 70s.) Louisville has two elite eights and one final four in the last five seasons (yes there was an NIT in that span, but UK has one as well.)

UK does have one more post 60s title than Louisville, however they have been largely irrelevant in the basketball world for the last several years, not having been to the final four in 11 years. Yes they are headed back up under Calipari, but U of L has been up barring one season for the last 5 years.

I look forward to the rivalry of upcoming years. But to call Lousville a mid-major program when they have nearly matched Kentucky over the last 40 years is just stupid. Let the numbers speak.

Titles since 1970 - U of L (2) UK (3) (also UK deserves credit for 2 title game losses)
Final Fours since 1970 - U of L (7) UK (7)
Elite Eights since 1970 - U of L (10) UK (18)
Sweet 16s since 1970 - U of L (19) UK (23)

While UK has the edge in almost every category, I do not think that they have proven to be lightyears ahead over the last 40 years. Anyone that wants to argue before 1970, most of you weren't even born yet, and we know Rupp was a cheater, plus basketball was less relevant, so shut up!

By the way before any UK fans try and go to the head to head series and UKs 26-14 edge it is worth noting that 11 of those losses have come since the series renewed in the 80s. UK leads the modern series 17-11 (4-4 since Pitino came to town) Yes UK is better, but recent history shows U of L has been competitive. They are no mid-major. Consider this mid-major argument destroyed.

Thanks.

Another thought did this "specimen of human intelligence" actually mention Indiana in the same breath at UNC, Duke, UCLA and UK? Please. :-l They have one title in the last 22 years. WOW!! They are MILES ahead of U of L!!!

If we were arguing football I would agree, U of L does resemble a mid-major. A mid-major with something the "NOT MID-MAJOR" Wildcats do not have, a BCS win, and an edge in the modern series. (U of L leads 9-7) Enjoy UK, you are not a football mid-major like U of L. You are just the whipping boys for every decent team you play.

I would like to acknowledge one math error. UK has 13 final fours not 11, but it does not change the modern numbers being tied 7-7.

Just wait..... Pretty soon, you'll be making excuses why Lousiville football is kicking UKs ass. Change is coming.....
I will admit that UK basketball, taken over the ENTIRE history of the program, has been stronger than UofL.
I hope Calipari is good therapy for the Gilespie era depression. He should be fun to watch.

Well buddy i have to prove you wrong 1 conference title in 13 years i dont know where you got that but if your meaning regular season and or conference tournament titles then we defenately have 4. Also 4 of your 7 NCAA championships came when the NIT was a more prestigous tournament
