REDNBLUEFANS

once again uk fans you show how ignorant you are.Ya'll are so hyped up over our lose to WKU but you fail to realise that rick always has us ready when it counts and that is in march. That is the only time when it matters, it is getting to were the seeds don't matter anymore just look at last year.We indured all the injures last year and we were still one of the hottest teams going into the tourny last year.I believe we were 1 game away from the final four I do recall. All uk fans do is talk out dated facts to make themselves feel good about their avarerage teams.Patrick Patterson is soft some big time prospect he turned out to be.What lost hurt the most, come on now when the ncaa commitee looks at wins and loses VMI or WKU who do you think will hurt the most?

In the words of Jessie Jackson keep hope alive, uk will be in the N.I.T. and we will be one of the hottest teams in the country again as always in march. When was the last time anybody feared Uk in march? It is obvious non of you have ever played pick-up basketball have you?If you had you would know that it takes time for some teams to feel each other out, sometime you it takes 1 game sometimes 5 but when UL hits its stride right about the time when uk comes to the hall get that ass ready.

Am I missing something here? All these UofL fans keep talkin about how great they are come March every year. The last time I checked, Pitino has been at UofL for 8 years. Six out of those eight years they havent been out of the second round of the NCAA tournament. Two of those years they werent even in the NCAA tournament. If that's a powerhouse program who's always ready in March, then I must be holding my standards way too high. That is just ridiculous to base one elite 8 season on a coach's entire tenure. I also dont recall any C-USA or Big East titles in those 8 years. Please correct me if Im wrong. Where exactly do any of you get the logic that you're always ready come March?

Please let me correct you because you are wrong as always. In 2004 UL won the conference usa title against memphis as I recall.Remember the foul, the three free throw shots he hit the first one then started pounding his chest and then he missed the last two and we won the game. After that remember the come form behind victory against WV?Remeber the game in the final four against the illini you need to stop using kentucky math because that was just 4 years ago genius.

OK Eric, I never said louisville didnt make a final four 4 years ago, so Im trying to figure out why you said I was using Kentucky math. Eric, read my post again without all the anger and hatred, and you will see that I only stated facts. I said I didnt remember any cusa championships, and to correct me if im wrong. So you are right about 2004. Congratulations on your 1 cusa championship in the last 8 years under pitino! Other than that, what did I say that was incorrect, or as you said, using ky math? I know you wont respond to this, because louisville fans just wander around this site aimlessly looking for someone to argue with about opinions, and when they are hit with facts they either never respond, or say something about my mother or some other off the wall insult that has nothing to do with the discussion.

My friend you have made a good point but not a great point. Injuries have played a key role in the teams that looked to be Pitino's best at Louisville. Sure one final four, one elite eight run and two N.I.T runs aren't great by any standards. The fact is, Louisville is improving and will continue to improve, where as our rivals down the road might boast one of the Nation's longest active Tournament appearances, but lets not forget two of there last appearances were clearly based on reputation. And the results clearly showed as they were bounced fairly easily and early.

Injuries play a key role in every team's struggles. Please don't start using that as an excuse for anything. I've said this before on this site, and I'll say it again for those of you who may not have seen it. Early in this decade North Carolina was going through similar troubles that the Ky program is having right now. When Matt Daugherty took over after Smith retired they were an irrelevant program for 4 or 5 years. I never thought for a second that NC was done and would never be back. They have way too much tradition for that. Any average college basketball fan would not be dumb enough to think that Ky is done and will never be back. They have way too much tradition for that. The funny thing is, your powerhouse program that is on top of the world has missed 2 of the last 8 NCAA tournaments under Pitino, and while we are having our struggles, our rock bottom is making the NCAA tournament and getting knocked out in the 1st round. Just goes to show the difference in the two programs.

It is called improvement like how for two years in a row uk has lost to a division two team, two years in a row.At least everybody says that UL just "overlooked" WKU which they did that is why they got beat. Why did the mighty UK get beat, it could'nt be because they were"overlooking" them, because they can't afford to overlook anybodyThe fact of the matter is nobody fears UK anymore, rupp arena is now just another place to play now.Your coach has no basketball knowledge he is and always will be a good recruiter and that is it.He lucked out because he had T.J. ford and texas am got hot in the tourny that year, and all of the sudden gilliespe is a good coach come on now.One tourny and one year does'nt make you a good coach. You need to admit that he is not the coach you wanted in the first place.
