As I woke today and found out the big news that John Wall the #1 overall recruit in the class of 2009,commited to the University of Kentucky giving the Cats what has to be one of the best recruiting classes in the last 20 years in college basketball. I looked up several different websites to see what the rest of the countries reaction to the commitment was and to no suprise the haters were all over the place from UNC fans calling him a thug, when just right before the Final Four, Coach Roy Williams was calling him to discuss the possibility of him joining his recruiting class. It's funny how after they were turned down by Wall how quickly they turn on him. Even Tennessee fans were commenting on how he was a thug and that Kentucky wasn't going to be that good. But at least there weren't any stupid comments such as UK is paying there players ,then all of a sudden I was listening to a local radio station and a jealous, and very ignorant UL fan stated in a e-mail that of course UK got John Wall because they were the highest bidder. It's that kind of thing that makes us UK fans realize that once again little sister UL is jealous of big brother UK! I remember back in the 90's how the UL fans that I went to highschool with were saying the same thing but the funny thing was the coach at Kentucky at the time was Rick Pitino. And once UL got Pitino in 2001 people denied saying anything like that, if Pitino was getting these kind of recruits UL fans would be bragging about how coach P is the man and that they are going to win it all, but since it's UK the unknowledgeable UL fans started that stupid comment "they must be paying there players" come on lets all just face the facts that Kentucky is back and that they are getting there pick of recruits. If UL were getting recruits like this I can promise you this much I would not be making stupid comments like that, just be happy that once again the state of Kentucky will be the basketball capital of the world. I know that not all UL fans are like this just a certain few. I forsee a UK vs. UL
national championship game in the not too distant future. Go Cats!
